Matt Holman joined Wiseman Ashworth Trauger as an Associate Attorney in January of 2024. Matt graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2021 where he served as a Research Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Business Law, the Social Chair for Tennessee’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society and as a Representative for the Christian Legal Society. Matt also served as a student attorney in Tennessee’s legal clinic, where he worked with a variety of clients on matters relating to voting rights, custody, and criminal charges. Before attending law school, Matt received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi College in Business Administration with a Concentration in Sports Management.

Prior to joining Wiseman Ashworth Trauger, Matt gained experience in private practice on cases including criminal law, family law, government defense, civil litigation and appellate practice. Matt recently authored an article published in Family Law Quarterly entitled Physicians, Parents, and the Transgender Child: Does the State have a Legitimate Interest in Prohibiting Gender-Affirming Treatment in Minors?

Matt and his wife are residents of Clarksville, and in their free time, they enjoy volunteering with their local church and cheering on the Vols.
