Lena is a Trinity College graduate with a B.S. in Psychology, where she also played on the Women’s Rugby Football Club. After obtaining her Master of Social Work at Tennessee State University, Lena graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2015. During law school, Lena served as the lead articles editor for the Alabama Law and Psychology Journal, was a managing member of the Public Interest Student Board, a member of Dorbin Women’s Association and the Bench and Bar Association, as well as a volunteer Long Term Care Ombudsman. She received the Order of the Samaritan Community Service Award and the Dean’s Public Service Award.
Before joining Wiseman Ashworth Trauger Moore Silvus, Lena worked in-house for a skilled nursing facility management company managing litigation and labor and employment practices in a multi-state territory before entering private practice as an associate attorney with a national firm focusing on long term care defense. She also previously clerked with the Alabama Disability Advocacy Program (ADAP), the Tuscaloosa Juvenile Court and was a Social Work Intern with the Tennessee Justice Center. When not practicing law, Lena enjoys spending time with her daughter, collecting books, and exploring new parks with her dog.
